Vermont Flight Academy

The Vermont Flight Academy, located at Burlington International Airport in Vermont, is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) corporation that offers flight training and instruction for students pursuing a Private Pilot Certificate as well as advanced professional pilot certificates and ratings. Vermont Flight Academy is Vermont’s only FAA-approved part 141 flight school, and one of the few in New England. Vermont Technical College offers a 4-year BS Degree in Aviation in conjunction with Vermont Flight Academy for those students who want an aviation-specific education. Three FAA-approved flight simulators are on site at the Vermont Flight Academy. Using these sophisticated flight-training devices enhances training and reduces costs of acquiring flight credentials. Our students have access to a fleet of 16 aircraft, including Cessna, Piper, and Citabria airplanes. Our staff of 15 experienced professional pilots and FAA Certified Flight Instructors is unprecedented, their combined expertise amounting to many hundreds of years of flight training experience.
