UAA Aviation Technology division offers the following degrees and educational opportunities: Air Traffic Control Associate of Applied Science and Bachelor of Science Recognized by the Federal Aviation Administration as a College Initiative (CTI) school. Areas of study include non-radar and radar environments, tower operations, flight service stations, and regulations. State-of-the-art simulators provide site specific training in controlled airports in Alaska, continental U.S. and international locations. Aviation Administration Associate of Applied Science and Bachelor of Science The Aviation Administration program is designed to prepare graduates for entry-level management positions in all aspects of the aviation industry. Areas of study include airport management, airline management, air service operations, and laws & regulations. Aviation Maintenance Technology Certificate (Airframe & Powerplant) and Associate of Applied Science Designed to prepare the student as a professional Aviation Maintenance Technician, this program is an exciting, highly skilled profession in which technicians have the responsibility to maintain aircraft in an airworthy condition. Professional Piloting Associate of Applied Science and Bachelor of Science Designed to prepare our graduates for careers in the demanding, yet highly rewarding world of professional piloting. Theory and flight training is provided through an FAA Part 141 approved curriculum. Along with a fleet of Cessna 172 and Diamond C1 aircraft, we also incorporate advanced flight training devices and simulator training into the program.
